Hunger Games Bookreview:

*WARNING SPOLIERS*

I think everyone has heard of the Hunger Games and if you haven't were have you been. The first book came out in 2008 and have gone up in popularity. Because they're so popular I thought it would be the best book to do my first book review on.

Hunger Games:

This has to be my favourite out of the three because there is always something happening and you can never put it down. The best part in my opinion is when Katniss makes a bed of flowers for Rue. That part of the book was so action full then something like that happens and you just have to close the book for a second and then carry on. I think that the Hunger Games is up there with some of my favourite books.

Catching Fire:

This book reminds me a tiny bit of life today how everything is controlled by the media and even things like this blog might make you want to read this book by just reading this. It sort of shows that the media can have too much control over the country and who ever controls the media (President Snow) can control the people. At the end of this book I literally shouted WHAT!?!? and had to read the next book as soon as possible.

The Mockingjay:

I thought this was the best ending to a trilogy of books I have ever read. The part where I was the most shocked was when Prim got blown up. That was a really good twist because you think she's safe and then you see her with all the other children. You think Katniss will get there in time and when she doesn't you can't believe it. I went to watch the first part of the film when I was half way through the book and I know it was my own fault but I hadn't read all the film. That sounds weird I know however I hope you know what I mean.

Thanks for reading if you want me to do a book review on anything post a comment and I'll read it as soon as possible.

Book wishlist:

There are so many books I would love to read however if I put them all down this itself would be a book.

Everyone I know has read The Fault in our Stars and I stupidly watched the film first. However everyone says the book is way better then the film so hopefully I'll find out.
Then there's A series of Unfortunate Events. I already own some of the books but I'm going to wait till I have all of them till I start reading them.
When I saw the advert for Divergent I thought it looked really good and I'm going to read the book first unlike I did with The Fault in our Stars.
I got The Great Gatsby from my aunt for Christmas and I've added it to my long list of books I want to read so it may be some time till I actually read it.
Also, there's Roof Toppers. This isn't a really famous book however I saw it won the Blue Peter's book award about a year ago. When I went town at the weekend to the usual bookshops I go to I saw this and for £1 I thought why not.
When I was in year 6 I started reading the Eragon series and sadly I left the school before I could finish them. Another weekend I saw 3 of them in one of my favourite bookshops and was only missing the second one (Eldest). It was a few weeks later till I gave up my search for Eldest in my bookshops and bought it new from Waterstones. I usually can buy a hole series of books for around £8-£10 so I never really give up searching for books there till I get tired of looking for the same thing.
My sister gave me her old Of mice and men book so I thought I might read it even though (spoilers) I now who killed who in the end.
Both me and my sister watched the Lord of the Ring and I really liked it and my sister has already read them I think so I'm looking forward to reading them. I remember someone saying that you could read them 10 times and also think oh I don't remember that bit because they're so long and full of storyline.
I have always LOVED Disney films and I really want to read the Grim brothers stories. Out of all of them I will be mostly looking forward to Beauty and the Beast because apparently Belle has some sisters in the original book.
