Destination Earth book review:

I don't usually like these sorts of books and I was shocked to find out that I liked this one. This book is about an alien called Lucy that comes to Earth to get away from a deadly virus on her home planet. Most books about aliens talk about how they are bad and are always taking over he world and failing however this one isn't. This is really different from other alien books because the alien is just trying to fit in and not to be noticed. I chose this book because it is one of the world book day books so I thought I would give it a go.
The main character (Lucy) makes me laugh so much because at one point in the book she has a little fan girl moment when she meets her favourite guitar player from her favourite band. She acts like any human would and freaks out (never in my life did I think that I would type that sentence). Also, she acts so weird that it makes you laugh. Especially when she first arrives on Earth.
The story without ruining anything is that Lucy is on a ship sent from her home planet to get her away from a deadly virus that killed all life on her planet. She is the only know survivor of this disease and tries to make Earth her new home.
I would fully recommend this book and I loved it so much. If you're not into science fiction books I don't think you will like it however if you like things like Doctor Who and Men in Black this book is definitely for you. And now for everyone's favourite part of the post...
Author facts!!! Ali Sparkes used to be a BBC broadcaster and now writes children books. She was born in England, Southampton. She has wrote many other books including: The Shapeshifter series, Dark Summer and The Monster Makers series.
Thanks for reading and please comment if you have any books you want me to read and do a book review on.
