Series of Unfortunate Events: The Vile Village and The Hostile Hospital book review:

So far in this book series I have got up to the 7th and 8th book. Also, I'll try to do the author facts again at the end so forgive me if it's a bit short. Sorry this post will be a bit shorter then the rest of my other posts. And on to the first book:

The Vile Village:

This book is as great as the other books that followed it. This is one of the strange books out of the rest of the strange ones because the Baudelaires don't actually have one guardian they have a whole village to 'look after' them. The children have to do many chores for the town people and get framed for a terrible crime. This book is really weird even for Lemony Snicket but it's still fun to read.
Also, I am going to go off on a tangent now but I thought you might want to know about the extra post I'm going to do this week. Basically, I am going to do a blog post just to pictures I have taken that I am quite proud of and want to share with you lovely lot. And that's all for my review on this book again I'm really sorry this is really short. I'll came back and edit it to make it longer so maybe read this again in a week. Again really really sorry.
Lastly, back to the books and I love the start of the book when it warns you not to read this book for many different reasons each book. Also, I love how the author keeps mentioning this woman in each book called Bellatrix and tells us a bit more about her each time.

The Hostile Hospital:

I really love these books and they are actually for children in primary and early secondary school but if you have never read these books you have to read them before you get to old to read and enjoy them. This is also one of the stranger ones of the rest of the strange ones. The story is sooooo good and as you all know Lemony Snicket always puts little quirky bits in and they always make me laugh. Lastly, I'll post that extra post on Wednesday so see you then and I'll edit this one later in the week.

Daniel Handler only have 3 adult books however 2 series of kids books. He also wrote the screenplay for the film An Series of Unfortunate Events.  He when to Lowell High School and graduated from Wesleyan University in 1992. Daniel's mum was a opera singer and she met his dad in an opera.

Thanks for reading and I'll see you on Wednesday. If you have any books  you would like me to read  or any blog posts you would  like me to doo leave it in the comments.

Series of Unfortunate Events: The Austere Academy and The Ersatz Elevator Book review:

Hi everyone sorry this post is a bit late I was going to do it on Monday like I usually do however I got stuck doing something so I focused on that. Anyway as you know if you read my blog every week (which fingers crossed you do) I have been reading the series of unfortunate events and I am on the 5th and 6th book. So I'll review the books like usual and I'll do some more author facts at the end of the post.

The Austere Academy:

I think this book has to be the weirdest one so far because the punishments the headmaster gives are just plain strange. For instance if you go to a certain building you get your silverware taken away at your meals. That might sound a bit weird however it gets worse. The building your not allowed in is the building where his office is so if a child has a problem and go to the headmaster office to tell him they wont get silverware.
This may sound a bit strange to you but I would recommend it: At the end of the book it gives a author and illustrator and the description of Lemony Snicket always changes and is funny but yet again weird. Also, the blurb makes me laugh but you should read this before the book because it has little things you will find inside the book. And when you find them you will get that feeling when the title of the book makes sense.
As always this book was a great follow up of the last one and I hope the next one will be as well.

The Ersatz Elevator:

This book was so good at the end I know I usually talk about the whole book and I promise I wont ruin it I just want to talk about the ending then I will get to the rest of the book. The last 30 pages of this really had me glued. More then any of the other books. In the book before it some of the Baudelaire's friends find out a secret however can't tell them it. I still want to know what the secret is however I haven't finished all the books. WARNING these books are addictive if you like them. If you want to borrow them at the libraby make sure they have all of them because you will be kicking yourself if they don't.
Anyway this might mean nothing to you however I really want to know what the secret stands for and if you have already read the book I'm sure you know what I am talking about.

Now time for author facts this might be shorter then the other ones because I've already done quite o few facts about Lemony Snicket including his wife (Lisa Brown), his real name (Daniel Handler) and many more. So back to the facts. Daniel Handler has a son called Otto Handler. Sorry I couldn't find much about Otto Handler however you now know he is alive so yayyyy! I really can't find any more facts so I'm going to have to leave it there.
That's all for this post please go and read these books I absolutely love them. If you have any books you want me to read leave them in the comments and if you want me to do a certain blog post please comment as well thanks for reading and I'll see you next week.

Series of Unfortunate Events: The Wide Window and The Miserable Mill Book Review:

I really love this book series and these two books didn't disappoint me. I'll try to do the author facts again with different information at the end of the post so please read that.

The Wide Window:

The 3rd book in this series was really fun and interesting to read. The first part of the book is like the rest of them when they get taken to their new guardian and towards the end it's sticks to the same routine too when they find Count Olaf. Because of this you might think  it would be boring however that's not the case at all. Even the parts that stick to the same routine are different to each other because Count Olaf is disguised as a different person in a different place with a different plan and a different accomplice from his theatre troupe. It may follow a small routine however it's really different to all the other books.
My favourite character has to be Violet Baudelaire because you can never tell what she is going to invent and when she starts to make it you try to guess and always get it wrong. Also, she's the oldest Baudelaire child so she always has to look after her siblings and has to find a way out of Count Olaf's  plan before he gets away with taking the Baudelaire fortune.

The Miserable Mill:

This book is a tiny bit different from the other one's and I won't tell you why so you'll have to read it to find out. The only thing that annoys me about this book is that Mr Poe (the person that chooses who looks after the Baudelaire children) never beliefs that the children have seen Count Olaf and you would think when he has been proven wrong 3 times he would listen to them and try to help them but no. It's just that one character that irritates me apart from that I like all the characters.

Author facts time!!!  Daniel Handler's wife is also a author called Lisa Brown and she also illustrates some of her nine books. Some of his books are so popular that they made films out of them for example An Series of Unfortunate Events. In the film An Series of Unfortunate Events they only use the first three books so it's not the best film ever but if you watch the film first it is a good film.

Thanks for reading comment if you have any ideas for posts or if you want me to read any books and do a book review.

Series of Unfortunate Events: The Bad Beginning and The Reptile Room Book review:

I know I started the Secret Survive omnibus however it's five separate stories in one book so I thought I would read another book. Is it just me or do people need a break from books written in old English with a newer book. Anyway, back to a series of Unfortunate Events. Because there are 13 books I thought I would review two at a time and then do the final one on it's own. So here's the first two books:

The Bad Beginning:

Little parts of this book make me laugh so much. Lemony Snicket is really clever with his little jokes like at one point in the book he writes something like this twice just to mess your head: You might be so tried that you read the same sentence twice. And when I saw it it made me laugh so much that everyone around me must have thought I was going crazy.
These sorts of books are my favourite with murder, mystery and humour. Sometimes there are little bits of quirkiness that may be a little bit weird for some people but I love it. This books may not be for some people however if you love mystery books I would fully recommend it.

The Reptile Room:

This book is a great follow off to the first one because it's similar but still very different. Also, towards the end you start to solve the mystery before the characters do and it made me feel really clever and I don't know why. It might make you feel clever too I don't know. In the final 5 chapters I really couldn't put it down. I couldn't put it down for all the book however this part really got me so I finished it in around 10-15 minutes.

Now it's time for everyone's favourite part of the post. AUTHOR FACTS!!!! Lemony Snicket's real name is Daniel Handler and he is now 45 years old. He was born in February 28th 1970 in United States, California, San Francisco.

Thanks for reading again comment if you have any suggestions for posts or any books you want me to read.
