Heroes of Olympus: The Son of Neptune book review:

As I said in the last post, I thought the first two books would just be about introducing the new characters and the way things work. For once I was actually right. This book was while everything Jason was doing Percy was doing this. When I realised this I thought it was going to be exactly the same as the first book however it was really different. It introduced me to a new camp for demigods and the way it worked. In Camp Half Blood it's more about family because there aren't that many people living there. However at Camp Jupiter is about survival and keeping the camp protected. Because of the all the people living there, it's more about politics than it is family and friends. Which is a completely different aspect to Percy. That everyone isn't like family and that demigod can live in peace without getting attacked.
   Also, slight spoiler so skip this paragraph is you want. It's really cute that the only person that Percy remembers from his past is Annabeth. I really love that however it would have been really cute if he remembered Annabeth and Tyson.

Back to the non-spoilers. This series has a bunch of new ideas and way things work. I thought with all the new things put over the top of the last series that it wouldn't flow like Percy Jackson did. However because of the chapters being narrated by different characters it's easy to keep up with and you can still learn things with the characters.

Heroes of Olympus: The Lost Hero book review:

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile I've had some big exams so had to study for them but I'm back and determined to catch up. As you know I love the Percy Jackson. So when I heard that there was a new series by Rick Riordan that had Camp Half Blood in I was so happy. I researched it and found out that there was Roman Gods in it as well as Greek. Even though I love the Greek Gods since I was a kid, and I never could remember the Roman ones, I was looking forward to reading about them. I don't know why I could never remember the Roman Gods because they are quite similar to the Greek ones. Anyway, I nearly gave up on this book having Percy in it however when I got to the part where he showed I was smiling like a freak. It was so good to read about Percy and Camp Half Blood especially since I thought Percy Jackson was the end of that. They are my favourite books and I now know there are some more books coming out by Rick called the Trials of Apollo. The Trials of Apollo books also sound awesome and has Camp Half Blood in. So considering I thought Percy Jackson was the end I am over the moon with all these other books.

   This one has a very similar format to the Percy Jackson series. They go on a quest, sort the short term problem and learn more about the long term one. However, this one was slightly different each chapter doesn't have a funny title like the last series. It starts with a name and the chapter is in their perspective. This is going to be really cool when there are more characters and when they all go through different experiences. You'll be able to see what each character thinks about each other without them having to say it. Also, you can learn the backstory of each character more.
   The first two books of this series (I think) will probably be just introducing new characters and the new Gods and how they all fit together. I can't wait to read the rest of them though. Also, my favourite character in this book had to be Leo. He so funny and silly in the parts of the books where it's meant to be all dramatic. So it sort of makes you laugh in the serious bits which I think is really good. Not many books make me laugh however this one has never failed.

Percy Jackson: Last Olympian book review:

This is the last of the Percy Jackson series and I was so sad that it was over. So I searched other books Rick Riordan because I loved these so much and found there is a different series with Percy in so this isn't the last you've heard of him yet. I really do love these books. I know I've said this before but Rick makes all the old stories new by adding his own bits to them. Sometimes I don't know what bits he has added and what are the actual myths.

   This one was really well written because usually in big battles in books you can get lost easily however I could still picture clearly what was happening while reading this. Also, there were so many twists and turns in the plot so you couldn't get bored of it. At one point I was reading it in class and I had to try and hide my shock so people wouldn't think I'm weirder than they already do. It's really good that it's not just non-stop fighting. Every now and then there are no fights and you learn more about the characters. Lastly, it not one of those stories where they kill all the bad guys and all the good guys live a happily ever after. Like it would be in real life some of the bad guys get away and not all the good guys live. Of course I won't tell you who because I don't want to spoil it. This series might have become my favourite series ever however I'll have to see how other series with Percy is like.
