Before I start talking about books, I'm just going to say I haven't read all these books so it's not a book review like usual I'm just showing you all the old classics I own.
Firstly, there's The Hobbit. I haven't read or owned The Lord of the Rings however my dad and library have them so I'll read them first then read The Hobbit. The version I have is full of beautiful illustrations that are in both coloured and black and white. The pictures are so beautifully done I once saw one in a frame in a shop in town.
Then there's the Narnia series and I have read these and loved them sooooo much. I'll do a much more detailed review of Narnia in another post so I won't talk about it too much. I got my books from my older sister because she thought she was too old for them and as soon as she said it I thought that that was the reason why Edmond, Lucy, Susan and Peter weren't allowed back in Narnia.
Also, there's The Great Gatsby I got this for Christmas from my aunt, uncle and cousins and still haven't read it. I thought that the book would be a normal size however it's has 115 pages. The only reason I asked for this book because I wanted to watch the film and didn't get the chance. So I thought I was ask for it for my birthday however I forgot and asked for it for my birthday so I got it for Christmas.
Nearly done now only three more books to go. I have read this one and watched two different films. Pride and prejudice is one of my favourite classics and the films I watched were the one with Keira Knightley from 2005 and bride and prejudice the Bollywood version. Me and my family love the story so much that we went to the place where they filmed the Keira Knightly one and sadly we weren't allowed to go to the place where Elizabeth goes into the carriage. However the house and gardens were so nice and we spent all day there.
Jane Eyre is one of the books I haven't read yet and I got it from my older sister. To be fair I get most of my books from my sister or from the book shops I always go to. I really wanted to read this book because I usually like all the classics I read and can't wait to read it.
Finally, there's Of Mice and Men. My sister and you'll probably guess gave me this book after year 9 so I could use it and so we wouldn't have to buy another one. I thought I would read it before year 9 so when I read it I wouldn't be reminded of work. However, I still haven't read it and I forgot to put it on my list of books to read.
That's it for this post and again I'm sorry it's really late.
xxx
