Hans Christian Andersen's Fairy Tales: The Wicked Prince:

I am really loving all the stories in this book so far and this one is no exemption. I still don't understand how Andersen make a story of about two pages and puts enough detail in for other writers to make into a 300 page book. This story could have been a full length  film without any boring bits that drags the film on.
If you have read a few of Andersen's stories then you will have probably have realised that they all have meanings behind them. For instance this story is no matter how powerful you are you can never be invincible. His stories are really well written and I love to read them. Also, Andersen might be starting to replace my favourite author Cornelia Funke. Honestly, I'm not exaggerating his stories are really good.
This one is about a Prince that wants to rule the world so invades all his neighbouring countries and takes over them. His is undefeated and now wants to conquer Heaven. It does sound weird when I say it like that however it is actually really good. However, if you want to read a story that you watch the movie to as a child then don't. The stories are still amazing but they are usually different from the movie and have a different ending to what you were expecting. Just a pre-warning.
This book and all the stories I've read so far have been amazing and I would recommend them to anyone even if they don't like old books.
As, I said in my newer there are pictures at the start of every story and I'll put them up now:

That's the end of this post sorry they're really short but I don't want to give away any of the really good parts of the stories. If you have any books or posts you want me to do then please put them in the comments and I'll get to them as soon as I can.
